The reason is that if your download aborts, most browsers do not allow you to resume from the point where it failed. Instead, please use a tool that supports resuming - typically described as a download manager. There are many browser plugins that do this job, or you might want to install a separate program. To avoid needless downloads, please do not download other CD or DVD image files unless you know that you need packages on them. You will see an overview of your current system disks and mount points. Select the disk to be partitioned and click Continue. Next, select the free space on the disk to partition it and click Continue.

Now create the Swap area by selecting Create a new partition and set appropriate size as shown in the screen shots below. Then click Continue. Set swap partition as Primary and choose the Beginning of the free space on disk and click Continue. Now select Done setting up partition and click Continue. In this step, you can now create the root partition by selecting the free space, then select Create new partition.

Afterwards set the root partition size, make it Primary and set it at the Beginning of the free space. Then use Ext4 file system on it and finally select Done setting up partition and click Continue as shown in the following screen shots. Once you have created all the necessary partitions, click on Finish partitioning and write changes to disk.

Now configure the package manager as shown in the screen shot below. Select No and click Continue. The netinst CD here is a small CD image that contains just the core Debian installer code and a small core set of text-mode programs known as "standard" in Debian.

The edu netinst CD here is a special version of the netinst CD image that is targeted specifically at bit Intel machines. It provides a menu to install the Debian Edu Pure Blend. See the Debian Wiki for more information. The mac netinst CD here is a special version of the netinst CD image that is targeted specifically at older bit Intel Macintosh machines. It will likely work on most other amd64 machines too, but it does not contain UEFI boot files that some people need.
